SEKAI (星界) is a vocal synthesizer character derived from the Japanese Virtual Singer, Isekaijoucho.[2][3] She was released as a Japanese singing voicebank for CeVIO AI, developed by KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO as a part of the ARTIFICIAL SINGING SYNTHESIZER series in April 2022.
On July 7, 2023, at the end of the "V.I.P -Virtual Isotope Phenomenon- 1st" livestream, it was announced that SEKAI would be released as a text-to-speech library for VOICEPEAK, which released in December 2023.[4][5]
SEKAI's voice is provided by the virtual singer, Isekaijoucho.[6]
Concept[]
SEKAI is advertised as a "ARTIFICIAL SINGING SYNTHESIZER" (音楽的同位体) of her voice provider Isekaijoucho, similar to that of KAFU.[7] Her signature color is blue violet, specifically hex code #7933FF.[8]
Etymology[]
SEKAI's name is a shortened, stylized, portmanteau of her voice provider Isekaijoucho's name.
The kanji of her name, 星界 (SEKAI) translates literally to "world of stars."
Additionally, the name "SEKAI" shares its romanization with Isekaijouchoo's character "Yorukawa Sekai" (夜河世界) from KAMITSUBAKI CITY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. (神椿市建設中。) So far, this trait is also shared by the other Musical Isotopes.
Appearance[]
SEKAI's appearance and theme are based on that of her voice provider Isekaijoucho with many similar design elements and an overall white color-scheme. SEKAI has long curly grey hair with thick bangs that cover her right eye. Her eyes are light blue with star-shaped irises. Atop her head sits two black star-like barrettes. Two long purple bangs hang down past her shoulders cut at a straight edge. She wears a heavy white coat with a squiggly purple pattern on it over a pair of black shorts. On her right hand she wears a black fingerless glove. Her right boot is tall and black, with purple lace and a skinny purple heel, and her left boot is short and black. On her left leg, she wears a purple sock embroidered with light purple textile shapes.

On October 24, 2021, a new collaboration with CeVIO AI and KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO was announced for a project known as SEKAI. A tentative release date of Spring 2022 was set with details to be announced at a later date.[9] A sketch of the initial concept for SEKAI was unveiled during the Isekaijoucho(ヰ世界情緒) 1st ONE-MAN LIVE "Anima" virtual concert.[10][11]
Her official illustrator was revealed to be reoenl[12] and the creator of her official logo was confirmed to be designed by ZUMA.[13]
On February 25, 2022, SEKAI's Twitter and YouTube accounts were created and a first official demo featuring her was released[14].
