Nurse Robot_Type T (ナースロボ＿タイプＴ), alternatively rendered as NurseRobot_TypeT or Nurse Robot Type T, and also known by her nickname Taotie (饕餮) or TT-chan (TTちゃん) for short, is a vocal synthesizer character developed by Matsuokayu, her creator, voice provider and illustrator. She was originally released for the UTAU software in December 2018, with various subsequent releases. She received a text-to-speech library released for the CoeFont CLOUD platform in March 2022, and later released for COEIROINK in May 2022, and for VOICEVOX in December 2022. A new singing voicebank was announced to be in development in collaboration with Yamaha Corporation and is to be released for VOCALOID6, known as AI NurseRobot_TypeT in July 2025.[1]

Her voice and illustration were provided by her creator Matsuokayu (尾粥), Chinese illustrator and UTAU cover artist also known as SuteinuA.

Concept[]

As her name suggests, NurseRobot_​TypeT is a nursing robot and a hospital staff worker of the fictional Kuranari Private Hospital (倉成町私立病院, Kuranari-chou Shiritsu Byouin), acting as the head of the Nursing Station. She was designed with the appearance of a 16-year-old girl, despite being only 5 months old. Her birthday is listed as December 3.[2] Her height and weight are determined by the parts that are equipped onto her, though averages around 150 ~ 160 cm in height and 45kg in weight. Her favorite foods include milk and brown sugar (known as "red" sugar in Japan) and she dislikes germs and pathogens. Her personal pronouns used to describe herself are "I" and "Me" (わたし, watashi), and "You" (あなた, anata).

She was manufactured by Dr. Dareka, also known as "Dr. Someone", a doctor of Kuranari Private Hospital, appearing as a spherical robot, known as Type A (タイプA (量産型, ryōsan-gata)), a type of mass-produced robot, that accompanies NurseRobot_​TypeT, floating in the air beside her.[3] NurseRobot_​TypeT is designed to have a gentle personality and praises the doctors at her work. Other employees sometimes call her Taotie (饕餮), or "TT", which means voracious or gluttonous.[4] She is the only one of her kind and as such is deemed highly valuable. She has no additional spare parts, so it is advised to the receiver of NurseRobot_​TypeT to take good care of them.[5][6]

On July 8, 2025, the official Yamaha Corporation VOCALOID Twitter account posted a very brief teaser video featuring an unknown feminine vocal vocalizing various whispering and breathing sounds (a demonstration of the new Silent Sound or Whisper feature announced earlier this month for the upcoming VOCALOID6 Editor update 6.7.0) against a guitar instrumental track and a faint chorus of "hums" and "aahs" (presumed to come from the same vocal); a heavily-cropped, blurry image of a human-like or humanoid figure, showing only her mouth, back hair, neck collar, and left shoulder (with the left ear and some other details obscured by a fog effect that grew larger when she exhaled and shrank smaller when she inhaled, as if she were breathing against glass) could be seen during the video. The video and tweet also hinted that the next announcement would be made on July 11 at 19:00 JST.[17]

On July 11, the silhouette was revealed to be a new upcoming vocalist, NurseRobot_​TypeT, a former UTAU created by Chinese illustrator and UTAU cover artist Matsuokayu, announced as AI NurseRobot_​TypeT. She was announced to be releasing for VOCALOID6 on July 16.[1] She received one demonstration song, "Sayonara Apoptosis", upon debut.[18]
