Namidame Koron (涙(なみだ)目(め)狐(こ)崙(ろん)), usually written as 涙目コロン, is a vocal synth character created by Tsuina, the Ogre Hunter Project. She first released on MYCOEIROINK on January 29, 2023.

Her voice is provided by Japanese Voice Actress and Utaite, Yabuto Minami (薮(やぶ)兎(と)美(み)波(なみ)), also known professionally as Mina (みな) as a voice actress or Usagi Bibi (宇茶木ビビ) as an utaite.

Concept

Namidame Koron is a villain in the lore of Tsuina-chan's story. She is one of the three executives of the Komentou (狐面党), an evil organization that aims to revive the nine-tailed kitsune. It's rumored that she's the only granddaughter of the Grand Priest of the Komentou.

Appearance

Koron has jagged sharp teeth. She also has heterochromia, one eye being green and the other blue, with her eyes being described as "always moist". She has a wolf-cut and a fox hood that can cover it at times. Some people believe that this hood has sentience, similar to Tsuina-chan's headpiece, Dickson.

Personality

Koron has the temperament of a selfish young ojousama, particularly one that is sickly and easily angered. She has a powerful mystical power in her body, but since she is not very good at controlling her power, she ends up hurting everyone she touches. This leads to her having virtually no friends.

She has a slight habit of adding "kon" at the end of her words. Her appearance and behavior are girlish, but her true age is unknown.

Combat Style

Koron does not have a disciplined fighting style thus she fights freely and loosely. However, because of her bloodline, her innate hidden power is extremely strong and regular yokai are immediately intimidated by her aura alone. She also has a keen intuiton.

Weapon

A pair of fox mittens. It is rumored that these are shikigami's in disguise.

Relations

• Yachimari Kukuri - fellow executive of the Komentou. They often conflict, due to Kukuri believing that Koron dislikes her, but the truth of the matter is that Koron once said "I like you too much that I can't even handle it, it's bothersome...". However, Kukuri only heard the second part and began to believe that Koron hated having her around. Ever since then, she kept her distance from Koron. Kukuri she often laments: "I said too many terrible things again today too, she's gonna hate me more, what am I gonna do...". Koron calls her "Ku-chan".

History

2022

On May 11, 2022, a new character was introduced into the Tsuina-chan, the Ogre Hunter Project by the name of Namidame Koron. She was described to be one of the villains in Tsuina-chan's story, and was the second character among the three executives of the mysterious secret Komentou (狐面党) society. Her key visual, concept art, profile and character settings were revealed and her voice was announced to be provided by the Japanese voice actress and Utaite, Yabuto Minami, also known by her nickname "Mina". She was announced to be created in conjunction with the audio drama series episode Komentou and Mahitotsu Oni (狐面党と目一つ鬼編). The same day, the official PR account for Tsuina-chan announced that they were interested in developing a speech library for MYCOEIROINK.

2023

On January 18, 2023 her first pre-release demonstration was posted to NicoNicoDouga. The official Tsuina-chan PR Twitter account revealed at the time that Koron's MYCOEIROINK library would be released at the end of the month. A second demonstration was announced and released on NicoNicoDouga on January 22, 2023.

Koron was was released for MYCOEIROINK via Google Drive on January 29, 2023 as intended. The library was produced by Kagami Soji (鏡双司) and was noted to be a cute sounding vocal that makes the most of Yabuto Minami's "cute" voice. She received a new standing illustration designed by SEITAKOsukore as well as a third demonstration.

An additional MYCOEIROINK library and emotional style for Namidame Colon was decided upon following the successful crowdfunding of the Tsuina-chan, the Ogre Hunter Project and Nico Nico Super Conference 2023 (ニコニコ超会議) "NicoNico Super Shrine" (ニコニコ超神社)

Marketing

On January 6, 2023, a crowdfunding event was held in collaboration with Tsuina-chan, the Ogre Hunter Project and NicoNico Super Conference 2023 (ニコニコ超会議) with the initial goal raising ¥1,000,000 yen to build a commemorative shrine to be titled the "NicoNico Super Shrine" (ニコニコ超神社) and displayed during the Super Conference event. The crowdfund was successfully funded on March 21, 2023 with over ¥6,058,000 yen raising well over 605% of the initial goal. As such, an additional stretch goal for the event was added including the development of an additional MYCOEIROINK library and emotional style for Namidame Colon. This goal was achieved on February 21, 2023 at the ¥2.5 million mark of the campaign.
