Muxin (牧心) is a Chinese Synthesizer V voicebank developed by Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd.. He was released for Synthesizer V Studio in August 2020. He is part of the Medium⁵ cast and is the first Chinese male Synthesizer V vocal overall.
Concept
Etymology
Mù (牧) means "to herd", "to tend", "herdsman", "herder", or "shepherd" while Xīn (心) usually refers to "heart". Together, his name can roughly translate to "herding hearts" or "shepherd of the heart".
His name is rendered in Kana as "ムーシン".[2]
Appearance
Muxin is a 14-year-old Chinese middle school student wearing a ceremonial uniform suit.
Personality
According to the Dreamtonics website, Muxin is said to be an idealist with a great fondness for history and social sciences. He enjoys stargazing through his telescope.[2]

History
An unnamed male voice database that was planned since March 2019, though no further information was given.[3] On June 26, 2020 a sample of his beta voice database was featured in the Synthesizer V Studio Release Presentation and it was confirmed that the final version would be better.[4][5] He was announced to debut some time soon.[6] It was later confirmed that he was voiced by YuukaNeko.
The vocalist's name, Muxin, and concept art for the Medium 2050 game was revealed on July 14.[7] In this concept, he is confirmed to be 14 years old, but in the game, he would be 16 at endgame. [the storyline lasts two years?]
On August 1, Ddickky noted that a demo for Muxin may be available the next Friday, August 7.[8] His design was revealed and he became available for preorder on August 7. He was scheduled to release on August 15.

Unlike the other Beijing Photek Synthesizer V Studio voicebanks before him, Muxin's voicebank was only made available on the company's Taobao shop, making it difficult for overseas users to purchase him if they had no knowledge of how to navigate and use the site. All of the previous vocals before him were also made available on Animen's ANiCUTE shop, which was friendlier to use for overseas fans.
