Miyo, also known as Xingfei (幸霏), is a vocal synthesizer character created by Shi Wei Migi and published under tigermeat. They were released as an AI singing model trained in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese for DiffSinger, known as "Miyo AI" and "Miyo DS", in March 2025, sharing the voicebank with JAE VOCAL PROJECT's JAE-01 Xiao Meihua due to having the same voice provider.
Their voice is provided by Shi Wei Migi.
Concept[]
It should be noted that Miyo has an extensive backstory that is not included within their vocal synthesizer biography due to the need for simplicity. For more information, please see their Character Hub page. Whether or not users would like to reference Miyo's full biography is entirely their choice. Miyo may be depicted in any way as long as their character and software terms of use are not broken.
Miyo is a rabbit yao who dreams and strives to be the "best helper in the world", particularly to humans. They are extremely benevolent and selfless to the point of hardly taking time for themselves, even at the risk of burnout. Their astrological sign is listed as Pisces and their "relationship" was listed as "in love with work!" due to their workaholic nature. They like strawberries, tea, milk, stationery, and the autumn and winter seasons. They dislike carrots, getting caught in traps, being referred to as a "bad bunny", making mistakes, and disappointing others. Their special skills include running (zoomies), jumping (binkies), listening, hiding, cooking, cleaning, assisting, and relaxing when finished with work (particularly in a flop position). Miyo is listed as pansexual and gray ace.
When taking account of Miyo's extensive backstory, their dream was inspired by a time they had seen humans help each other, desiring to be kind and never be cruel if they were a human themselves as they were still a rabbit at the time. They would help other animals whenever they were trapped or injured. Once gaining a human form, they learned all they could to make their dream come true. Regarding some of their skills, many of them include rabbit behaviors: zoomies, binkies, and flopping. Others behaviors were listed on the extensive backstory, such as sleeping specifically on their belly or side, sleeping with their eyes open and ears up, thumping, chinning, and twitching their nose. Though, it should be noted that Miyo tries to conceal these behaviors. Regarding their relationship status, Miyo is more focused on their job and doesn't have much experience with romance. Instead, they turn to media or observe couples in order to offer realistic and critical advice. While it isn't impossible to romance Miyo, they are likely to gently (or firmly, depending on the circumstances) reject the advancement.
Etymology[]
"Miyo" is a feminine name that can mean "beautiful child". It is their most common alias. It is rendered phonetically in Chinese as "Miyou" ("芈幽"; Mǐyōu).
Their real name is "Xingfei" (幸霏; Xìngfēi). "Xing" (幸; Xìng) means "lucky" or "fortunate" while "fei" (霏; fēi) means "falling of snow and rain", "drizzling", or "falling thick and fast" in reference to precipitation. The name was chosen to reflect March (the month Miyo was born) as the weather may consist of rain and snow.
Appearance[]
Miyo is a rabbit yao with long indigo hair and bright green eyes. Their bangs cover the left side of their face, including their eye. The left of their face is open for interpretation. They have rabbit ears and a tail. Their color scheme usually consists of black, blue, and white.
Miyo's default outfit depicts them as a maid. Their hair is tied up in a half-up bun with a thin blue ribbon holding it in place. They wear a black top with white frills and blue accents. Rather than a maid's skirt, they wear long blue pants with frills at the bottom. A white bow is present on their right hip. Their shoes are black boots with blue laces. They wear frilly white cuffs on their wrists tied with blue ribbons. Their nails are painted blue.
Miyo's butler design has the same hairstyle as the maid design, but the ribbon is thicker. Their outfit consists of a white shirt, an indigo waistcoat with a gold emblem in the middle, and a blue ribbon tied at their neck. Their butler jacket is black with blue accents, and is cut into a swallowtail in the back. The back of the jacket is laced with black ribbon and the front has two silver clasps. They wear fingerless black gloves and their nails are painted blue. Their long black pants has a silver belt with a gold emblem on the right thigh, and they flare out into white frills. Two silver diamond studs are on the calves of the pants. They wear black loafers with blue soles.
Miyo's hair is tied in a half-up bun while the ends of their hair is tied in a knot. They have blackish-blue robes with navy and light blue accents, with white frilly sleeves beneath the black-ish blue ones. The robe ends at their hips. They wear white baggy pants and tall black boots with light blue folds at the top.

History[]
On April 5, 2024, two silhouettes were uploaded to JAE VOCAL PROJECT's Twitter page with no information other than the illustrators involved: Mian and Ruthreford Brand.[1] The next day, after uploading a new demo,[2] it was confirmed that Xiao Meihua was expected to release with a DiffSinger voicebank in the future and would be sharing the voice with Miyo, serving as an alternative representative of the voice should users prefer one or the other visually.[3][4] Miyo was originally an OC created in the summer of 2021 by Shi Wei Migi, whose purpose was to help others, especially humans.[5] Shi Wei Migi's alternative account was later repurposed on February 25, 2023 as Miyo's account for fun and to give the character some more personality by fulfilling their role as an assistant. The account retweeted works from JAE VOCAL PROJECT as well as the individual members, affiliates, and other characters.[6] Miyo was planned to be a voice synthesizer character for some time, though they would not be part of JAE VOCAL PROJECT. But since Miyo was recorded with Shi Wei Migi's natural voice, it was decided that the voicebank would be shared with Meihua since she was recorded with Natural voicebanks for both UTAU and DeepVocal previously.[7] For Meihua DiffSinger, her key art was illustrated by Mian, with the outfit designed by Ruthreford Brand from his "Summer" collection of adopts. At the time, the demo used an Alpha version that was recorded in English with around 90 minutes of data, and was confirmed to not reflect the final release which would sound different and work with additional recordings. The voicebank was created in collaboration with tigermeat.[8] A release date was not yet decided for Miyo.[9] On April 7, Shi Wei Migi tweeted that March 23 was spent making additional recordings for Miyo, but details were omitted aside from a remark that they would be able to improve Miyo in multiple ways. The original English recordings were done in June 2023.[10] On September 29, with the launch of Miyo's page on tigermeat's website, it was noted that new information was included. Specifically, it was confirmed that Miyo's final recordings were done in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese.[11]
On January 4, 2025, Miyo's Twitter posted "See you this year!", implying a 2025 release.[12] On March 2, the release date was officially announced for March 14, which was Miyo's character birthday.[13] It was also clarified that Miyo had around 65 minutes of data rather than 90 minutes for the final version. They were also noted to be suitable for Pop and Ballads, but was a solid voice to use for other genres too.[14] Miyo for DiffSinger was officially released for free on March 14 as intended. French support for Cross-Language Synthesis was specifically noted to be trained with "Millefeuille".[15] Unlike the UTAU and DeepVocal voicebanks for Meihua, the DiffSinger voicebank required users to purchase a license for commercial use due to its status as an AI voicebank.[16] The commercial license was released on April 4.[17]
On June 26, in addition to Miyo being nonbinary and pansexual, it was announced that they were also gray ace.[18]
