Ken Shippai (県失敗) is a character for the UTAU engine. She is also available for the DeepVocal engine.
She is voiced by Near, an American vocalist and voice actor.
Concept[]
Etymology[]
Her name is Ken Shippai (県失敗). The name Shippai (失敗, shippai) means "to fail; to come to nothing; to fall through". Her name is intended to be read as "strong failure", however, the Kanji '県' means 'prefecture', so her name literally means "prefecture failure".
Appearance[]
Ken Shippai isn't a human, she is a rock, specifically a moonstone, with the ability to shapeshift. Her rock is on the center of her back. She is virtually a hologram with mass from the gemstone, similar to Steven Universe and Land of the Lustrous.
As a non-human gem lifeform, she is sexless. However, socially, she identifies as a woman/feminine and use she/they pronouns.
Ken can alter her form to anything she desires. Her first form (also called her humanoid form/ACT 6 design) was her first form on Earth. She uses feminine pronouns and compliments. She experiences womanhood, however, is genderless by default. Pepsi was the first beverage she ever drank on Earth. It turned into... an obsession.
Personality[]
Ken is described as rather a very curious person; an arrogant airhead. She is very outgoing, spontaneous, and always looking for the next big thrill. She can be very competitive, impulsive, and can sometimes come off rather rude. Besides that, she can't cook and usually falls over flat surfaces. That's basically it.
