Jashin-chan (邪神ちゃん) is a character in the manga and subsequent anime Dropkick on My Devil! (邪神ちゃんドロップキック, Jashin-chan Doroppukikku) by manga author Yukiwo. She received a Japanese VOICEPEAK distributed by AH-Software Co. Ltd. in collaboration with the Jashin-chan Dropkick X Production Committee that released in March 2023.
Her voice is provided by the Japanese voice actress Aina Suzuki (鈴木愛奈), who also voiced the character in her anime portrayal.
Concept[]
In the manga series, Jashin-chan is a lamia who was summoned from Hell by Yurine Hanazono, the other main character of Dropkick on My Devil!. Unable to return to Hell, she is forced to spend time with Yurine and her friends, spending much of her time trying to kill the former.
Etymology[]
"Jashin-chan" is a very straight-forward name; "Jashin" means "Devil," Demon," or "Evil God," while "-chan" is a typical honorific used in Japan towards girls, small children, close friends and lovers. It can roughly be translated as "Little Devil."
