Hoshi Kiha (Chinese: 星希羽 Japanese: 星希羽／ほしきは) is an elementary-school virtual male singer developed and operated by Star Music Dream Studio, a sub-team of Light of Liberty.[1] He is also recognized as the first Taiwanese virtual singer to feature a boy soprano voice.

Overview[]
The origin of Hoshi Kiha can be traced back to 2022, when the creator Kai was inspired by the DeepVocal singer Sorane Remi (空詩音レミ). On November 27, 2022, a virtual character named “Xiao-Xi (小希)” was created, later renamed “Yaoguang (耀光)” in April 2023.
In 2023, Light of Liberty launched a virtual singer development project. The team initially considered Synthesizer V, but due to cost and technical constraints, development shifted to DeepVocal. This project was eventually terminated in November 2023.
In December 2023, Light of Liberty restarted the project with a new concept featuring two elementary-school virtual singers:
Hoshi Kiha (male), inheriting part of Yaoguang’s original settings
Hoshi Huiha (female)
On February 22, 2024, Star Music Dream Studio was officially established, and development migrated to ACE Studio in April 2024.
On August 14, 2024, Hoshi Kiha officially released Version 1.0 along with his debut original song “Hoshi no Yoru (星の夜)”, with Light of Liberty acting as the managing partner.
On February 22, 2025, operational responsibility was formally transferred to Star Music Dream Studio, with both teams continuing joint operation.

January 10, 2025 – Moegirlpedia “China Taiwan” Labeling Dispute
Following the Moegirlpedia dispute on January 10, 2025, Light of Liberty announced that its BiliBili channel would no longer be updated on a regular schedule and would instead shift to conditional updates. Future primary platforms will be YouTube and NicoNico.
In addition, the Moegirlpedia entries for Hoshi Suiha and Hoshi Kiha are not official sources, and all future explanations and announcements will be based on the official Light of Liberty website.
Background
Due to political positioning, Moegirlpedia enforced the labeling of “China Taiwan.” Although Light of Liberty adopted an intentionally ambiguous stance and referenced Opinions on the Correct Use of Taiwan-Related Propaganda Terminology—specifically Section 5, which states that while Taiwan is considered a province of China, the term “Taiwan Province” is generally avoided out of consideration for public sentiment, and “Taiwan region” or “Taiwan” is commonly used—the entry was still deemed non-compliant.
Even when only the word “Taiwan” was used, it was considered a violation. As of now, Light of Liberty has completely lost administrative and editing access to the relevant Moegirlpedia pages and is unable to edit or modify them.
Light of Liberty hereby informs the public that it will no longer maintain or manage any content on Moegirlpedia.
Official Statement Regarding Moegirlpedia Intervention
Light of Liberty hereby reiterates its position and stance regarding Moegirlpedia’s forced intervention and provides the following timeline of events:
August 15, 2024 An official representative created the Moegirlpedia entry for Hoshi Kiha, marking the activity region as “Taiwan”, and listing the school level as “Elementary School.”
January 9, 2025 The Moegirlpedia entry for Hoshi Suiha was created.
Around 17:00 We observed that an administrator had modified the entries as follows: “Taiwan” → “China Taiwan” “Elementary School” → “Primary School”
23:00 We reverted “China Taiwan” back to “Taiwan,” as this was still compliant with China-related Taiwan terminology standards. We accepted the change from “Elementary School” to “Primary School,” as this adjustment aligned with those standards.
However, the “China Taiwan” label was soon reinstated again.
Later, another editor attempted to remove the activity region field entirely, but this action was mistakenly identified as initiating an edit war, resulting in the revocation of editing privileges.

00:51 The official representative’s account was permanently banned under “Violation of Content Management Policies.”
After a series of appeals, we successfully removed the activity region field, but the official representative’s account remained permanently disabled.
17:00 We concluded that no consensus could be reached and formally requested the removal of the entries. This request was made because Moegirlpedia contained internal information disclosed by the official side. We also asserted ownership of the images and requested their deletion. However, Moegirlpedia continued to deny our appeals and prohibit deletion under rigid and unreasonable policies based on an enforced One-China principle.
19:00 We reiterated our ownership claims and requested the removal of specific content. As all information regarding Hoshi Kiha and Hoshi Suiha was officially provided, we asserted our right to edit and revise the entries. Moegirlpedia refused these requests, and even after we formally withdrew authorization, Moegirlpedia continued to insist on its position and failed to respect the stance of Light of Liberty.
23:00 We ceased all further appeals and actions, concluding that continued efforts were futile. We decided that official information would no longer be provided to Moegirlpedia for maintenance or updates, and that all future announcements would be based solely on official accounts.
Light of Liberty deeply regrets this incident. We will no longer provide information to Moegirlpedia and hereby state that content on Moegirlpedia does not represent official positions or data of Light of Liberty＆Star Music Dream Studio. </syntaxhighlight>
