Chis-A (知声(ちせい)) is an upcoming Japanese VoiSona library to be developed by Techno-Speech, Inc.. She will be capable of singing.

Her voice provider has not been revealed.

Concept

Chis-A is conceptualized as a 19-year old, singing artificial intelligence that lives in the internal network of a certain lab. Given new song data every day, she works hard to learn and although she looks like an adult who is close to her voice, she is still young mentally and occasionally behaves erratically and is seen by lab members with warm eyes.

Appearance

Chis-A has short angular choppy grey bangs with orange tips and a long thin braid. Her eyes are emerald green. Her shirt is lime green with an orange hem and neckline. White buttons adorn the neck. A thin black belt is tied around her waist. Her skirt is long and flowy, the color being a little green at the top that gradually fades into a deep orange color at the hem. Her gloves are long black opera style fingerless gloves. Her fingernails are painted a pale orange. On her feet are black and orange white-soled platform shoes. Over her outfit she wears a long lime green coat with an orange hue on the collar.

History

2022

On January 31, 2022, a preview of a CeVIO Pro vocal was shown on Twitter. While not yet referred to by name, the official CeVIO account noted that it was the first time this vocal was being heard and described the vocal as "neutral and cool". Further announcements were expected within the next month. On February 1, it was confirmed that the library is a completely new character voice that had not yet been adopted by existing voice synthesizer products.

On February 18, Techno-Speech, Inc. announced that the alpha version of CeVIO Pro would be releasing for free, starting on February 24 at noon. They noted that design, specifications, names, and more were subject to change. After the official release, CeVIO Pro itself and the default voice library that came with it would remain free. Along with the announcement, a silhouette of the default library was shown. This character was planned to be revealed the next day.

On February 19, the default library, Chis-A, was revealed, with her artwork and character profile released to the public. The illustrator was revealed to be cherico. The song that was shown on Twitter was later confirmed to be featuring Chis-A.

Marketing

Chis-A had an official twitter account created for her on February 19, 2022. Chis-A was officially filed for trademark by Techno-Speech, Inc. on December 1, 2021 and her english name on December 24, 2021.

Concept art work illustrations were released on February 20, 2022.
