AiKO (艾可) is the a Taiwanese vocal synth character and the first Mandarin Chinese vocalist for Synthesizer V. She is the mascot of Animen. She was released on December 28, 2018.

Her headwear, headphones, and bow hold magical power. It is said that her headphones can hear every sound in this world.

Personality

AiKO is enthusiastic about everything. Although she can be occasionally careless, she won't feel down when trouble comes, and she's happy to make a little progress every day. She is a hard worker and likes to wear her work clothes.

Etymology

AiKO's name is rendered in Kana as "アイコ".

Appearance

She has four main attires: maid, digital, "preach" (missionary), and performer.

The headwear in general has a dip pen inspired design. Her main, "preach", and performer headwears are be able to hold a lot of data, has WiFi and optical fibres inside, and a USB can also be inserted into them. The headwear of the digital attire has a wider range, can search for bugs, and send stronger signals.

The bow on her maid and performer attires has an "A" on it to represent Animen. The "A" also exists on her digital attire, but it has a small terminal database and core processor, and it can control the whole attire.

Her theme color is #FDD000.

History

2018

AiKO was first demonstrated by Umine Kyo in a cover of "好想你 (I Miss You)" by Joyce Chu on December 7, 2018. She was said to be sweet, natural, and not difficult to use. Another cover was uploaded to bilibili on December 16, 2018. This time it was "梦境小偷 (Dream Thief)", which originally featured Hatsune Miku.

While she was not included in the Synthesizer V Production Release on December 24, 2018, it was announced she would be released shortly. This was later revealed to be December 28.

AiKO was released alongside the license for Synthesizer V on Animen's web shop, ANiCUTE, on the intended December 28 date. She was also made available on Taobao through Quadimension for users in Mainland China.

2019

In January 8, 2019 a demo song called "Something New" was uploaded. It featured Eleanor Forte as the main vocal and AiKO as backing vocals. The whole song was in English.

2020

In June 30th it was announced that AiKO would get updated to Synthesizer V Studio.

In July 15th, AiKO got updated to Synthesizer V Studio.

In July 30th, AiKO got a Lite version.
